Associated Priority Initiatives: High Fidelity Wraparound
This indicator will measure:
Provide support to well-trained community-based collaboratives that identify and support Maine’s highest needs youth and their parent/guardians in their own communities. The goals are to provide these youth a safe family and community to live in, have access to and be successful in education, be socially and emotionally supported, have increased developmental assets, be supported in the development of adult living skills and prepared to enter the workforce and be free from arrest, detention and incarceration.
Wraparound Maine utilizes a model of practice based on the principles, best practices and research of the National Wraparound Initiative. Six sites, geographically dispersed throughout the state, are in the early stages of implementation and have already served over 100 families as of June, 2008. Up to three additional sites will be added as of January, 2009. Wraparound training, including a foundational course for Facilitators, workshops for Supervisors, Training for Trainers, Evaluation training, and In-Service advanced training for Facilitators, Supervisors and community members has been attended by 664 across these community-based Collaboratives to date. Evaluation activities to assess the process and measure outcomes are being conducted at all sites.
